What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are the classic free radical scavengers which protect against oxidative stress and neutralise free radicals. Free radicals are highly reactive oxygen compounds (aggressive molecules).
Stress, ozone, ultraviolet radiation, an unbalanced diet and the consumption of alcohol and tobacco increase the development of free radicals. An effective protection against these aggressive compounds offer above all vitamin C and E, provitamin A, OPC as well as bioflavonoids and anthocyanins as they react to them and render them harmless for the cells.
The aronia in Cellin® contains a high concentration of antioxidants and therefore makes it an opponent of free radicals.
