Vitamins – nothing goes without them!

The metabolic pathways of the individual B-vitamins are cross-linked with each other like traffic routes and they intersect everywhere in the body. To fulfil its task one individual B vitamin needs further B vitamins as coenzymes. It is therefore not recommended to take only one vitamin, as these specialists can only perform their task in teamwork.
Vitamin C ranks among the antioxidant vitamins.
Neurotropic vitamins (nerve vitamins) are mainly important for the metabolism of the nerves and the brain as well as for the energetic metabolism. This includes the following vitamins: niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B2, vitamin B1, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12.
We find vitamins in fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, dairy products and fish. For fruit and vegetables the rule of five portions a day (each 100g) applies.
Conclusion vitamins:
There is hardly an activity in our body where vitamins are not involved. Every single vitamin takes on a highly specialised task in the metabolism, often in cooperation with other vitamins.
The intake of water soluble vitamins is crucial – vitamins of the B group and vitamin C – as the body can only store these to some extent.
